Metallurgical Testing Laboratory
Material claims are worth nothing without measurement. Our laboratory verifies chemistry by optical emission spectrometry on incoming billets, then confirms mechanical properties and microstructure on the finished forging before release.

Incoming Material Verification
Every heat lot is spectro-tested against the mill certificate before it enters production. Grade substitution — an expensive and recurring problem in the Indian steel supply chain — is caught at the gate rather than discovered on the customer's assembly line.
- Optical emission spectrometry
- Heat-lot segregation and tagging
- Mill certificate cross-verification
- Rejection at gate, not at dispatch
Mechanical Property Testing
Tensile strength, yield, elongation and reduction of area are measured on machined specimens; Charpy impact testing establishes toughness at ambient or sub-zero temperature where the application demands it. Results are reported per batch with the heat number.
Microstructure and Grain Flow
Etched samples are examined for grain size, decarburisation depth, banding and inclusion rating. Macro-etched sections reveal forging grain flow, which is the direct evidence that the die design is delivering the metallurgical benefit the part was forged for.
People also ask
Do you test every incoming material lot?
Yes, every heat lot is spectro tested against its mill certificate before release to the shop floor, and lots are physically segregated by heat number.
Can you issue EN 10204 3.1 certificates?
Yes, as standard on export orders and on request for domestic supply.
