What a Per-Kg Rate Actually Covers
It typically covers material plus the forging operation, calculated on billet weight including flash — not on the finished part weight. Heat treatment, machining, testing and packing are quoted separately because they vary enormously between parts of identical weight.

Why Two 5 kg Parts Cost Differently
A simple 5 kg disc and a 5 kg ribbed lever weigh the same and cost very differently. The lever needs more forging stages, a more complex die, tighter temperature control and more machining. Weight sets the material cost; geometry sets everything else.
