Forged Steering Knuckles
A steering knuckle carries vehicle weight, braking torque and steering input through one intricate three-dimensional shape. It is a category-one safety part, so it is forged, fully inspected and documented — never cast, never compromised.

A Genuinely Difficult Forging
Arms projecting in three directions, a spindle boss, brake caliper mountings and a kingpin bore all in one part means multi-stage blocker impressions and careful parting line placement. The die sequence, not the press, is what makes this component succeed.
- Multi-stage blocker and finisher dies
- Grain flow through each projecting arm
- Spindle and kingpin bore concentricity
- 100% magnetic particle inspection
Safety-Critical Discipline
Every knuckle is magnetic particle inspected, hardness checked and dimensionally verified. Heat numbers are marked on the part itself so a field failure can be traced to a specific billet lot years after delivery.
Machined and Assembly-Ready
Kingpin bores, spindle diameters, caliper mounting faces and tie-rod tapers are machined on our CNC line to the concentricity and perpendicularity the steering geometry depends on.
People also ask
Are steering knuckles inspected individually?
Yes. As category-one safety parts every piece receives magnetic particle inspection, hardness verification and dimensional checking, with the heat number marked on the part.
What makes a steering knuckle difficult to forge?
Arms projecting in three directions with a spindle boss and kingpin bore require multi-stage blocker impressions and careful parting line placement.

Questions Answered
Are steering knuckles supplied fully machined?
+
Yes, including kingpin bore, spindle diameter, caliper mounting faces and tie-rod taper, with a dimensional report.
Do you inspect 100% of knuckles?
+
Yes. As a category-one safety part, every piece is magnetic particle inspected and hardness verified.
Can you supply PPAP documentation?
+
Yes, PPAP level 3 packs including control plan and PFMEA are prepared for automotive customers.
What steel do you use?
+
42CrMo4 and EN19 quenched and tempered are typical; 20MnCr5 where case hardening is specified.
