Bearing Industry Forging
Bearing manufacturers are the most demanding buyers of steel cleanliness in industry. Their entire product life depends on what is not in the steel rather than what is.
Forged bearing race blanks are produced as seamless rolled rings in EN31 bearing steel with continuous circumferential grain. Steel cleanliness is verified against strict inclusion rating limits in our own laboratory, because subsurface inclusions govern bearing fatigue life.

Bearing Industry Forging at a glance
Quotable facts from Avadh Techno Forge, Gundasara, Gondal, Rajkot.
- Rings 100 mm to 1,200 mm outside diameter
- EN31 with verified inclusion ratings
- Seamless rolled, continuous circumferential grain
- Supplied spheroidise annealed at 190–220 BHN
Cleanliness Above All
Bearing life is governed by subsurface inclusions initiating rolling contact fatigue. Steel is bought against strict inclusion ratings, verified in our own laboratory before forging, and traceability is maintained heat lot by heat lot.

Seamless Rolled Rings
Races are produced as seamless rolled rings with continuous circumferential grain. Profiled mandrels roll near-net race sections, reducing the material and machining a bearing manufacturer would otherwise remove.
People also ask
Why do bearing manufacturers specify inclusion ratings?
Because rolling contact fatigue initiates at subsurface non-metallic inclusions. Fewer and smaller inclusions directly translate into longer bearing life, independent of hardness.
What is a contoured ring profile?
A near-net cross-section rolled with a profiled mandrel — such as a race groove pre-form — reducing the material and machining the bearing maker must remove.
What condition are race blanks supplied in?
Spheroidise annealed at 190–220 BHN so they can be machined, ready for the bearing manufacturer's own hardening cycle.
