Electric Vehicle Forging

Electric drivetrains change the load spectrum rather than removing it. Instant peak torque from zero rpm loads gears and shafts harder at launch than any combustion engine, and reduced masking noise makes every mechanical defect audible.

01

Instant Torque Changes the Duty Cycle

An electric motor delivers peak torque immediately, so reduction gears and shafts see their maximum load at every launch rather than at a narrow rpm band. Fatigue design must reflect that far higher cycle count at peak load.

  • Peak torque at every launch
  • Higher cycle count at maximum load
  • Tight gear quality for NVH
  • Lightweight design without strength loss
02

NVH Becomes Critical

With no engine noise to mask it, gear whine and driveline vibration are immediately audible to the occupant. Gear blank accuracy and balanced rotating components matter more in EVs than they ever did in combustion vehicles.

FAQ

Questions Answered

Do EVs still need forged parts?

+

Yes — more so in the drivetrain, because instant peak torque loads gears and shafts harder at every launch than a combustion engine does.

Can you forge aluminium components?

+

Aluminium forging is available for selected lightweight structural parts; please share the drawing for feasibility.

What EV segments do you serve?

+

Electric two- and three-wheelers, e-LCVs and passenger EV programs, through OEMs and tier-one suppliers.

How do you address NVH requirements?

+

Near-net gear blanks for tighter quality classes and balanced, ground rotating components.
