Forged Pump Components

Pumps combine rotating loads, pressure containment and often corrosive fluid in a single machine. Forged shafts and housings deliver the fatigue strength and pressure integrity that keep a pump running between scheduled overhauls instead of between breakdowns.

Pump Shafts Under Combined Load

A pump shaft carries torsion, bending from hydraulic side load, and axial thrust simultaneously, all while spinning at speed. Forged shafts in EN19, EN24 or SS 410 provide the fatigue margin that a bar-turned shaft cannot guarantee.

  • Combined torsion and bending duty
  • Ground bearing and seal seats
  • Straightness verified after hardening
  • Corrosion-resistant grade options
02

Seal Faces and Gland Areas

Mechanical seal seats demand tight surface finish and runout control. We grind these areas rather than turn them, because seal life is decided by the quality of the surface running against the seal face.

Materials for Corrosive Service

SS 304, SS 316 and SS 410 for chemical and water applications; duplex grades where chloride attack is a concern. Grade selection is confirmed by spectro analysis on every heat lot.

FAQ

Questions Answered

Do you make stainless steel pump shafts?

+

Yes, SS 410, SS 304 and SS 316 shafts are forged and ground regularly for water and chemical service.

Are seal seats ground?

+

Yes, ground to Ra 0.4 µm with runout verified, because seal life depends on that surface.

Can you make pump parts from a worn sample?

+

Yes, via reverse engineering including grade identification by spectro analysis.

What is your minimum quantity for pump components?

+

Single pieces on the open die route for replacements; production batches from 200 pieces.
