What Happens to Your Sample
It is dimensioned feature by feature, hardness tested, and spectro analysed to identify the actual grade rather than a guess. Wear is compensated by referencing mating dimensions, and the reconstructed geometry is issued as a drawing for your approval before any tooling is cut.

Improving on the Original
A worn or failed sample is evidence. If it failed at a sharp corner, we add a proper fillet. If it was machined from bar, forging it aligns grain with the load. If the grade was marginal, we propose a better one — with the reasoning, so you can decide.
Quantity and Route
One or two pieces go through the open die route with machining, needing no tooling. Production quantities justify a die. Either way the drawing we produce belongs to you and can be quoted elsewhere.

What if my sample is badly worn?
Wear is compensated by referencing the mating component's dimensions. Send the mating part too where possible, so fit can be verified rather than estimated.
Do you charge for reverse engineering?
A nominal engineering charge applies for measurement, grade identification and drawing creation, and it is typically adjusted against the production order.
Who owns the drawing you create from my sample?
You do. The drawing is issued to you and can be used elsewhere; we treat customer parts and drawings as confidential.
